🔍 How I Discovered It
It’s a classic
🧠 Thoughts
The horror elements inside this book even though old is still spooky enough to send chills down your body. But I am more comfortable with this type of horror which is not so gross and unsettling like Stephen Kings. It is a must read classic. The novel makes you contemplate more about God, Divine and sin.
What I Liked About It
- I liked the style in which the novel was written. Style makes it seem more real and some sort of a case history rather than just another straight forward story.
- Multiple narrations made the story more mysterious and intriguing
- Character had a sense of morality which is very unusual to find in today’s day and age where the vampire who drinks blood might be sympathized with and added to the list of a deviant entity which should be accepted and loved no matter how gruesome and morally dubious their actions are
What I Didn't Like About It
- Length: I felt the story could have saved so much pages if the writer was willing, but understand their purpose because back in the day this was such a controversial and scandalous subject
🥰 Who Would Like It?
